About
The map of South African dance.
Dance Africa Network is building the map of South African dance: one place to find studios, crews, teachers, companies, venues and events near you, and to read the stories of the people who make dance happen.
We are a team of dance professionals, business people and enthusiasts who have worked in and around the South African dance industry since 2020. Our provincial Facebook groups bring together more than 31,000 members across all nine provinces.
What we do
- The directory. A free, searchable map of the dance industry, organised by style, organisation type and distance.
- Stories. Dance journalism: interviews, history and news from the South African dance community.
- Community. Provincial groups where dancers, teachers and organisers share classes, auditions and events.
Our values
Integrity, transparency and social responsibility.
